Self love is all about accepting the way you are with all your flaws and imperfections. It is exactly those imperfections that make you the person who you truly are.

They define your Uniqueness.

So, rather than be annoyed about your flaws, how about lovingly accept them and show gratitude to them for they make you stand out from the rest of the crowd.

I remember very well the times when it was not so easy for me to accept myself the way I am. In school other children would tease me for my nose and call me a witch. For some time I was quite embarrassed and very aware of my big crippled nose. Funny enough, years later when I did have the chance to have surgery, I refused it because I decided that this nose is exactly what defines me. This face with a smaller perfectly straight nose would be a boring nose and not be me anymore. Therefore, I decided to keep it the way it is and when someone made fun of it later on, I did not take it to heart anymore and thought to myself, that I was simply different.

Today I am accepting myself as I am getting older. I don?t need Botox or an eye brow lift or whatever miracles plastic surgeons do perform these days. I am accepting myself with all of the wrinkles (even though sometimes I am quite shocked about how many there already are ? haha) because each and every wrinkle tells a certain story of my life.

It is the wrinkles around my eyes that tell a story of laughter, fun and joy from certain times in my life when everything seemed to go my way. And then there is those that have been created by sadness, grooves that have formed from tears running over them. But they are all part of my life and I am proud of them.

And it does not stop there with the wrinkles around my eyes. It is the grooves around my mouth, grooves that have formed upwards through laughter and happiness. And all the downward ones that have been created by negative emotions like sorrow, despair and suffering. Again, they all are telling the various stories of my life. And of course there is the neck: Well, that really tells your age! Who cares? I don't - do you?

And aging as a woman, there are of course the sagging bubs. Even they have got the one or other story to tell. Stories of children being breast fed, being bitten by little teeth and the skin stretching more as you are getting older.

And all of that is okay. Because deep down I am so endlessly grateful for my beautiful body to always have been there for me. No matter what I was going through, my body always stood by my side, playing its role as best as it could. It never once let me down. It kept me healthy and fit and beautiful, just the way I am. And trust me, I did not always give it the beneficial nutrition it really deserves. And yet, it never let me down.

This is my point:

Give yourself this immense gift of Self Love today Accepting Yourself the Way You Are!

Look into the mirror and say, ?I love myself? and say it over and over again until you start feeling the warmth of Self Love flooding every vein in your body.

I would love for you to share your thoughts on this with me. And let me know how you go with the feeling that you are creating when you tell yourself in the mirror that you love yourself.

?

Much love,

Andrea
