From the 3000 words on emotions in the English language, ?BALANCED? is the word for today, one of around 1000 positive emotions:


We all know how important it is to stay balanced in life. And I think in this day and age it is more important than ever before. Because with what is going on in our world right now, balance on the outside is taken away from us all together.

Depending on which part in the world you live, hanging out together with friends and even family has been taken away, going on holidays has been taken away, many of you have lost their jobs. There does not seem to be much balance left in your outside world at all.


Therefore, it is of utmost importance to find Your Inner Balance. What do I mean by that?


Inner Balance is the heart of your Wellbeing. It gives you strength at an emotional, spiritual, mental and I dare say even a physical level.


Inner Balance is flexible, sometimes you have more of it and sometimes less. And when you don?t have it, that?s when you know something is wrong. As long as you got it, you feel great and once you have lost it, it takes endurance, commitment and hard work to regain it.


To gain or keep your Inner Balance is your own responsibility. And how to do that is up to each of you as well.


A major participating factor in having Inner Balance in my mind is, to look after oneself. By that I mean to practice active and conscious Self Care on a daily basis. The best would be to have a daily ritual or routine around that because otherwise it will get lost in your busy daily chores.


Again, everybody has his/her own preferences.

In my opinion there are 3 major components to be considered:


1.     Meditation on a daily basis I would say is a must to keep yourself balanced.

2.     A healthy diet of course cannot be missed.

3.     Physical exercise is just as important as a healthy diet.


These 3 components are the basis and absolute 'Must' on your way to finding and keeping Inner Balance. Of course, there is so much more that can contribute.


There is actually one more factor that I would like to add to this and that is incorporating ?Mindful Moments? into your busy day. Even at work you can stop for one minute or so and feel into your body and become aware of what is going on.

Ask yourself in that moment:

Where do you feel any tensions? What are you noticing around you? What are you hearing? What are your thoughts?


Research shows that practicing Mindfulness is a major contributing factor to your wellbeing and as such to be ?Balanced?.
